Famous director of south cinema Siddique Ismail passed away due to heart attack. Siddique Ismail, 63, suffering from pneumonia and liver-related ailments, was admitted to Amrita Hospital in Kochi when his health deteriorated.
A big shock for the Malayalam film industry
Due to Siddique Ismail’s ill health, Siddique Ismail was put on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support, but died of sudden cardiac failure. Siddique’s sudden farewell to the world is a big shock for the Malayalam film industry.
The funeral will be held at 6 p.m
Siddique Ismail’s entire family and fans are shocked by his death. He is survived by wife Sajitha and 3 daughters Sumaya, Sara and Sakoon. Many stars have also mourned the demise of Siddique Ismail. His body will be kept at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Kadwanthara at 9 am today for last darshan. Siddique’s last rites will be performed at 6 pm.
Directed films including Bodyguard
Siddique Ismail has directed Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Bollywood films. In which Salman Khan’s hit film Bodyguard is also included. In the year 2011, Siddique made his directorial debut in Bodyguard and the film proved to be a hit in Salman’s career. Siddique also directed the Tamil version of Bodyguard Kavalan.

Siddique Ismail started his directorial career in the year 1989 with the Malayalam film ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’. Credit goes to film producer Fazil for bringing him into the film industry. However, Siddique later made a name for himself with his hard work and excellent direction. He successfully directed films like ‘Kabuliwala’, ‘Vietnam Colony’, ‘Harihar Nagar’ and ‘Godfather’. Siddique’s last film was Mohanlal and Arbaaz Khan starrer ‘Big Brother’. The film was a hit and received a lot of love from fans.
