Eligibility Criteria:

Head Constable (Motor Mechanic):

Must have passed 10+2.
Should possess a certificate in Motor Mechanic from a recognized institution or Industrial Training Institute (ITI) with at least 3 years of practical experience, or a 3-year Diploma in Automobile Engineering.

Constable (Motor Mechanic):

Must have passed Matriculation (10th Class).
Should hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade or have 3 years of experience in the trade from a recognized firm.

Age Limit (as of January 22, 2025):

Head Constable (Motor Mechanic): 18 to 25 years
Constable (Motor Mechanic): 18 to 25 years

Age Relaxation:

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years

Salary Details:

Head Constable (Motor Mechanic): Level 4, Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 (As per Seventh CPC)
Constable (Motor Mechanic): Level 3, Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 (As per Seventh CPC)

Selection Process:

Phase I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST)
Phase II: Document Verification, Written Examination, Skill Test, Merit List
Phase III: Detailed Medical Examination (DME), Review Medical Examination (RME)

Physical Selection Process:

Test	Criteria
1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)	– Race: 5 km in 24 minutes (for male) 1.6 km in 8 minutes (for female)
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)	– Height: Minimum 170 cm (Male), 157 cm (Female) – Chest: Minimum 80 cm (Unexpanded) & 85 cm (Expanded) (Male)
3. Weight	– Proportionate to height for both male and female candidates
4. Medical Standards	– Must meet the physical and medical standards set by ITBP (including vision and hearing).
