An FIR has been registered against Kannada actor Upendra in Karnataka for using foul language in a live streaming on a social media platform. Upendra Uttam is also the founder of Prajakia Party. The case has been registered at the CK Achukkattu police station in Bengaluru. Another FIR has been registered against him at Halasuru Gate Police Station. But later the actor has also apologized. Apologized after registering FIR

Realizing the seriousness of the situation after burning posters, growing protests and registering an FIR, Upendra addressed the controversy on his social media account and apologized for his words. In his statement he revealed that his comment was made in error and that he deleted the video soon after realizing the consequences. Admitting that feelings were hurt and making amends for the damage caused by his statement, he said, “I apologize for my statement.”
