Salman Khan new Bulletproof Car: Bollywood’s ‘Bhai Jaan’ Salman Khan is always in the headlines despite not wanting to. Salman Khan’s security was beefed up after he recently received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Now Salman Khan has bought a new car because of security. It has imported SUVs from the international market that are bulletproof. Salman Khan is reported to have imported an armored Nissan Patrol SUV for his security. Salman already owns an armored Toyota Land Cruiser 200. Let’s know what is special about this new SUV?

This special version comes with many tough features to keep passengers safe. It has bulletproof glass all around and heavy duty hinges with door stoppers, overlaps around the doors and protection around the fuel tank, battery and Electronic Control Unit (ECU). It offers bullet protection up to B7 level. Which means that even sniper rifles cannot penetrate this glass. According to media reports, the price of this SUV is said to be up to Rs 2 crore.

Engine and Power
Nissan Patrol is not available in India. However, in the international market it comes with two petrol engine options. First is the 4.0-litre V6 engine that generates 279PS and 394Nm and the 5.6-litre V8 unit that generates 406PS and 560Nm. Both the engines are mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission and the SUV comes with a 4-wheel-drive system.

The SUV has a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch driver display and a 10.1-inch rear seat entertainment screen. The Nissan Patrol also gets a 13-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charger and ventilated front row seats.
Talking about safety, it has 6 airbags as standard. The SUV also gets Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), rear-view camera and hill start and descent control. It also gets driver-assistant features like auto emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control.
